‘Jagan sold Gangavaram Port to Adani for peanuts’

Visakhapatnam: A day after potshots made at her by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS, Jagan Mohan Reddy, her sister YS Sharmila, who recently took over the reins of AP Congress Committee, accused him of mortgaging the interest of the State in selling away 10.4 per cent stake of the State in the Gangavaram Port to Adani Group for over Rs 600 crore.

“He not only sold AP government’s equity in Gangavaram Port for peanuts, but also remained mum when the BJP-led NDA government took a decision for strategic disinvestment of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in January, 2021,” she told the media here on Wednesday.
